Louisville, Kentucky

It’s been a long time since my last post.  Our family has finally moved and are slowly getting settled in Louisville, Ky (Prospect, Ky to be exact! Right outside of Louisville).  We love our home and new schools and have made some new friends that have welcomed us with open arms.  Louisville is a beautiful city with loads of fun things to do and many beautiful areas to do portrait sessions.  I can’t wait to start photographing the sweet children of Louisville and Southern Indiana.  So if you are interested in a session, don’t hesitate to contact me.  I am excited to get started.

Oh, and since I can’t have a post without an image, I’ve included one taken after a crazy thunderstorm that knocked out power and caused damage for many in Louisville.  This was taken looking down our street. It’s amazing how after a wicked storm, something so beautiful can be left behind.

A disclaimer – the picture posted here was taken with a camera phone!  It’s a beautiful image but camera phone quality!

Moving | Louisville Photographer

We are moving!  Not this blog but my family is moving to Louisville, KY.  I will be closing down my photography business here and starting new in my new town.  I have mixed feelings about this but know there are exciting things to come for Edie Black Photography.  I do want to thank my wonderful clients in Chattanooga and the surrounding areas I’ve worked in.  You all have been the best and I’m sad to lose so many wonderful clients.  Once I’m settled in my new home, I hope to start blogging again so check back periodically.  Thanks again!!

Oh, and since a blog post is boring without pictures, here’s a few.

Little “G” | Louisville, KY Photographer

I just had to share this little guy with you.  He was so cute and full of energy and kept us running the whole time.  This is my second session with little “G” and can’t believe how quickly he grew.  The last time I saw him he was a newborn!  I love one year olds!

Here’s Little “G” when he was just an itty, bitty newborn.

Edie!!! I just love your work–your pictures are truly beautiful.

More sweet newborns! | Louisville, KY Photographer

I have been slammed with newborns lately (which I love!) and have really been too busy to blog.  But, I wanted to share a couple that I’ve recently done.  The twins were absolutely adorable and were easier than I thought.  One newborn at a session is difficult, so I figure double the trouble.  But not with these too.  They have the most patient mom who was just so relaxed with them.  When we put them together, they just snuggled up and zonked out.  Love um!!

This sweet baby had a head full of beautiful hair.  I love newborns with lots of hair, especially since 2 out of 3 my children had cue ball heads.  This little guy was awesome!  He modeled perfectly and was content the majority of the time.  We only had one blow out which was on dad!!  Just the sweetest!

Bitty Baby | Louisville Portrait Photographer

This has been a busy newborn season for me.  I’ve had quite a few in the past month and have several coming up and I’m definitely getting my baby fix.  I just love my job when I can spend time with a newborn and touch them and hold them and then give them back to mom and dad when they cry.  I guess that’s how grandparents feel.  Anyway, I just wanted to share this little guy.  He was so tiny and sweet and slept most of the session.  He let me move him around and pose him without so much as a peep out of him.  Thanks to the “A” family for allowing me to photograph your little peanut!

As you can see, he was pretty content!

I love how you can see all his sweet baby fuzz!
